Chart notes

MESA SPIRIT showed the way inside of a pair of prompters, shook free in upper stretch and held sway under a drive. FIT TO FLY leaned outwardly at the start, tracked while tucking to the two path into the turn, tipped out to the three to four path in upper stretch, edged place at the sixteenth pole and narrowed the leader's margin late. WE MISS ARLINGTON saved ground in midpack and ran on to reach show late. ATRAS vied two wide and between horses, failed to keep pace with the leader in upper stretch and yielded between rivals late. PRINCE LANCELOT (GB) broke a beat slow, lacked speed in the two path, advanced between horses into midstretch but encountered mild traffic through the late stages. SHUT UP MAN stalked outside of the leading trio and from the five path, floated to the six path into the lane and lacked a bid. FORTUITY broke a step slow, trailed in the three to five path, moved out to the eight path in midstretch and improved outside of rivals late. X J RASCAL (IRE) pursued from the two to three path and failed to factor. PREMIUM prompted three deep while in the four path into and around the turn, drifted out to the five path in upper stretch and faded between horses.
