IT'S A FACTOR stepped to the front and showed the way along the inside early, controlled the pace to the far turn, took pressure at the five-sixteenths pole, lost command to CHECK'S ON THE WAY but fought back from inside into the final furlong, could not match strides with the winner late but stayed on to edge CHECK'S ON THE WAY for the place honors. CHECK'S ON THE WAY raced up close in the two path, bid outside IT'S A FACTOR at the five-sixteenths pole, led three wide into the lane, fought between rivals past the eighth pole, relinquished the lead to the winner and got edged for second. DYNODAVE bumped with inner rival leaving the gate, tucked inside at the back, advanced two wide on the far turn and lacked a rally when down the lane. EL DIAMANTE NEGRO stalked from inside, fell out of range on the backstretch, got put in a bit tight by GREY POWER past the three-eighths pole, tipped out and came three wide into the lane and lacked further response. GREY POWER made light contact with DYNODAVE at the start, tracked in the two path, chased between rivals exiting the backstretch, moved over to the rail with three furlongs remaining and came up empty in the drive.
