Chart notes
ZIA ZAPPER settled outside of rivals early on while never far back, tracked the pace four wide nearing the half-mile marker, loomed three to four wide at the quarter pole, took command into the stretch, held foes at bay past the furlong marker then drew clear in deep stretch. MASTERING prominent while three to four wide into the first turn, stalked the moderate pace up the backstretch then vied for the lead into the far turn, battled into upper stretch, could not keep pace with ZIA ZAPPER in deep stretch and was best of the rest. GREY STORM well placed while saving ground into the first turn, tracked the decent pace while saving ground up the backstretch, maintained an inside path to the far turn then tipped out for the stretch drive, could not muster the needed response in deep stretch but held well late for the show. GRAZEN BOY broke alertly, assumed early command and set the pace into the first turn, set a moderate pace while prompted up the backstretch, battled to the quarter marker, was overtaken into upper stretch then weakened and was outfinished late for the show. PROJECTION tracked the early pace three wide and between rivals, got caught in tight four wide and between runners up the backstretch, was shuffled and lost position into the far turn, chased three wide to the quarter pole, went five wide into upper stretch, ran evenly to the furlong marker then came up empty late. CAPITAL JOKE tracked the early pace two to three wide and between runners, was well placed into the second turn, chased two to three wide to the quarter marker, swung four wide into upper stretch then lacked a late rally. LOCO LUNA stumbled at the start and was away slowly, trailed through the backstretch, roused outside of rivals along the far turn, swung widest into the stretch then could not muster a final response.
