Chart notes
IMMELMANN was pushed on from the gate to keep close to the early pace, tracked inside through the turn then slipped through an opening along the rail near the quarter pole, went clear and won going away. SAN ANDRES broke well and dueled inside of SCOPELLO to the turn, then left the rail open for IMMELMAN to sip through near the quarter pole, kept on well to hold second despite racing on the left lead for much of the stretch and finished well clear of the next horse. A LOT OF VERVE was outrun early, kept to the inside through the turn and finished with good interest up the rail to gain the place. HE'S INIT TO WINIT was briefly involved in the early pace battle then got pinched back about a half furlong from the start, remained close up in the three to four path through the turn and finished evenly on the wrong lead. PASSION OF JOE'S broke well but was under pressure to keep up with the pace while five or six wide down the backstretch, was in a full drive through the turn and finished well under steady urging but could not make an impact. GETEMDUSTY was the distant trailer to the turn and passed tiring rivals in the lane. CHICKEN WING tracked well off the rail in the four or five path through th early going, came into the stretch five wide off the far turn, and was unable to improve. SCOPELLO broke well and dueled to the outside of SAN ANDREAS then faltered in the stretch.
