LET THERE BE PEACE prominent away from the start, engaged SEAHAWK CODY and prompted the early pace from outside of that rival, contested the pace to the far turn then bid for the lead at the quarter pole, battled SEAHAWK CODY into upper stretch, turned away the runner-up leaving the furlong marker and drew away late while kept to task. SEAHAWK CODY assumed command into the first turn, set a prompted pace up the backstretch, dueled LET THERE BE PEACE into the far turn then battled that rival into upper stretch, fought into the final furlong, was repelled into the final sixteenth and held for the place at the wire. PROJECTION raced close up in the early going, stalked the pace three wide into the backstretch, chased three wide and between runners into the far turn, was outkicked into upper stretch, stayed on into the final stages and just missed at the wire for the place. DADDY WHAT IF broke slowly and was unhurried in the early going, trailed along the backstretch then saved ground to the second turn, saved all of the ground to the top of the stretch, found his best stride late but could not reel in the leaders in the final sixteenth. GLENDORA MINECAT settled into the first turn, made a four wide middle move nearing the half-mile pole, disputed the pace to the second turn then lost position four wide nearing the quarter marker, lost position into upper stretch then gave way in the lane. WIN WORTHY broke slowly and was allowed to settle into the first turn, made a middle move between rivals then chased two to three wide nearing the quarter marker, drifted four to five wide into upper stretch, could not sustain his run into the final furlong and flattened out. ARCH CITY tracked the early pace from the inside, lost position past the half-mile pole, chased into the second turn, swung six to seven wide into upper stretch and was not a factor late. GRIFTER tracked the early pace two wide and between rivals, well placed along the backstretch, chased from the inside into the second turn, could not keep pace into the stretch and lacked a late response.
