Chart notes
WRITTEN CONSENT vied three wide down the backstretch, then edged ahead through the turn, responded when roused at the head of the stretch and went clear and unchallenged to the wire. GO STORMIN GIRL broke well then was hustled to join the early pace battle, vied inside of three, backed off a bit then lost the path and took up sharply leaving the seven-sixteenths pole, continued to be held up until near the three-eights pole, continued to track close up through the turn then tipped out three path for the drive, finished well under strong handling, but was no match for the winner. RUNNERS HEAT broke outward at the start causing some trouble for the slow starting PALACE MAGIC, then hustled into the early pace battle, vied between then dueled inside of three then a rival early then went into the turn with WRITTEN CONSENT, could not go on when that rival got away approaching the quarter pole, altered course to the three path passing the three-sixteenths pole and finished well under steady urging to gain the third position. PALACE MAGIC got shuffled back at the start and was last early spotted the field several lengths, rallied four wide through the turn, came five wide into the stretch and finished with some late interest while never posing a serious threat. PRANCIPANTS chased the leading trio three wide into the turn, loomed four wide near the quarter pole, swung five wide into the stretch but could not sustain the bid. APRIL'S GEM was hustled from the break to no avail, made a mild middle move three wide on the turn then flattened out in the stretch. LADY ATLANTIC was unable to contest the early pace then settled near the rear of the compact field, kept to the inside but was unable to mount a rally in the stretch.
