Chart notes
PHILIPSBURG (IRE) was sent into the early pace mix, vied three wide to the turn then stalked ALL ABOUT TONITE through the turn, had that one measured and went to challenge turning into the stretch, gained the advantage at the quarter pole then had to deal with bid from PLUNDER, dug in determinedly, kept a head in front and prevailed in a gutsy effort. PLUNDER was outrun from the break, found stride after passing the half mile pole, rallied three wide through the turn then continued the momentum into the stretch, battled with PHILIPSBURG (IRE) to the wire but could not get by. ALL ABOUT TONITE had good speed from the start and went to the front, maintained a clear but narrow margin though the turn, dug in when challenged by PHILIPSBURG (IRE) in upper stretch, kept on well but could not match strides late. PROFESSOR HIGGINS was slow into stride, bid three wide into the stretch raced on the wrong lead and flattened out. TAKEITAWAY broke well, was close up with the leaders to the turn the steadied near the seven-sixteenths marker and could not recover.r.
