Chart notes
SONO away well under some coaxing, pressed three wide through the turn, responded when roused at the top of the stretch, battled gamely between horses down the stretch and got the nose down at just the right time to prevail. LAGOON tracked four to five wide early then launched a four wide bid from the three furlong pole, came four wide into the stretch and put in a good finish under steady handling and intermittent urging and lost a heartbreaking photo. DOUBLE EDGE SWORD broke well, stalked between horses through the turn then was two deep as four bid for the lead at the top of the stretch, finished willingly but came up short in the end. ALTERANA hustled from the break and briefly contest the early pace, lost ground on the turn, swung five wide into the stretch and could do more than chase the top three home. INDIA INK bumped lightly with DOUBLE EDGE SWORD at the start, showed good speed to get the lead into the turn with a pair just behind in hot pursuit, was inside of a four-horse fan at the quarter pole then gave way in upper stretch. GOOD LIKE MAGIC bumped at the start, dropped far behind early and was outrun. DOUBLEDIAMOND DEAL broke out and made contact with GOOD LIKE MAGIC, hustled forward, chased close up into the turn then could not keep up and was outrun late while under urging.
