Chart notes
UNCLE SINGH grabbed the early lead and set the pace, continued to hold firm around the turn, saved ground turning for home, widened advantage and held clear. SAY IT NICELY was forwardly placed in opening stages, continued just out of striking range around the turn, roused two wide in the upper stretch, sustained a steady bid and edged closer nearing the wire. KNIGHT COMMANDER raced in range, was ridden along three wide around the turn, ran on down the lane and prevailed for a share. MILTON STREET chased the pace along the inside, coaxed along the rail around the turn, cut the corner turning for home and evened out in the final furlong. SHIPS ON FIRE settled off the early pace, saved ground into the lane and lacked a needed rally. DAY MONEY hustled along in opening stages, failed to advance three to four wide around the turn, swung wider for the drive and failed to threat. TAP THE BRAKES was off a step slow, raced in the last flight, swung wide for the drive and never menaced.
