Chart notes
DANCININTHECOUNTRY tracked four wide early then launched a three wide bid with three furlongs to run, swept to lead at the quarter pole, then dueled with BUSINESS AS USUAL for the length of the stretch and doggedly held on to prevail in the end. BUSINESS AS USUAL was the inside horse in the early pace battle, ran on with DANCININTHECOUNTRY when that one bid from the quarter pole, dueled that foe for the length of the stretch, was relentless on the inside despite being put tight against the rail in spots but came up short in the end. MAJESTIC TORNADO was hustled up to battle for the early lead then backed off to a stalking position through the turn, bid three wide into the stretch under a drive, was unable to threaten the top pair, but won the battle for the third spot. LA CAMELIA away well, was briefly part of the pace duel then dropped out before the half-mile pole and outrun the rest of the way. RAILEY JEAN broke well, vied four wide early, then pulled ahead with BUSINESS AS USUAL to duel through the turn, had no response when DANCININTHECOUNTRY swept past near the quarter pole and had little left for the stretch run. CLOUD ANGEL chased at the back of the pack but not far from the front but was not able to improve late. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate final time.
