Chart notes
GO KART MOZART was hustled early taking control soon after the start, dueled on the rail around the bend, put away the pesky pace foe buy the furlong marker and stubbornly prevailed from the closing in rival in deep stretch. COUNTRY LIVING had an ideal spot, sitting alone off the contesting twosome, shifted out three wide starting to reel in the front pair, loomed boldly four wide in upper stretch but could not get by the gritty frontrunner late. FLIRTING WITH FIRE chased the pacesetter outside down the backstretch, moved in to force the issue outside bidding for the lead around the oval, battled outside for the top spot in upper stretch, was repelled by the winner with an eighth remaining and stayed on late to hold for third money. HUMBER RIVER was situated on the outside in midfield at the half, put in a mild rally when roused three wide in midturn, shifted out five wide entering the stretch and finished with good intent outside to get up for a minor role when crossing the finish line. ROAR OF THE CROWD was bumped on the inside at the break, had a stalking position ahead of a couple of rivals down the backside, commenced a run between foes at the three eighths marker, had a chance for a small piece of the prize in the two path turning for home and finished up gradually in deep stretch. TIERNAN sat behind the lead three in the early stages, shifted out four wide at the quarter pole beginning a rally to be in the mix for a small share at the top of the lane but could not find more late and faded between runners. WAGNER broke out, trailing at the start, offered a brief run three wide with five sixteenths to go, swung out in the six path for the drive to the wire but had little finish to give in the late stages. MY BOY BRUCE settled on the rail in mid-pack with a half mile to run, was in tight when shuffled back on the fence at the three furlong marker losing momentum and finished up one paced in the two path down the lane. YOU'RE SO LUCKY was void of early speed trailing while being roused at the half, lost touch with the field through the turn and was not a factor in the stretch running.
