Chart notes
BAYOU MAGIC allowed to settle early on while never far back, stalked the pace three to four wide up the backstretch, roused into the second turn, vied for the lead into the stretch then took command inside of the furlong pole, drew away in the final sixteenth and held sway under moderate late urging. WEST COAST CRUISER assumed command into the first turn, set a contested pace up the backstretch while off of the rail, was pressured into the second turn then fought on into the stretch, could not keep pace with the winner into the final sixteenth then held well late for the place. TALKSCHEAP broke alertly, ceded the early lead and attended to the pace along the first turn, disputed the lead along the backstretch then vied for the lead between runners into the far turn, battled into upper stretch, could not muster the needed late response and was outfinished for the place, while holding for the show. DIAL HIM UP allowed to settle early, saved all of the ground to the second turn, swung four wide into upper stretch, finished evenly in the late stages and was outkicked in deep stretch for the minor awards.
