Chart notes
DEPUTY DADDY sat outside a runner while watching the engaged threesome battle on the lead down the backside, rallied three to four wide outside on the turn, moved in circling rivals at the quarter pole, had clear run at the leader in the four path outside down the lane and got up in the shadow to the wire for the score. BEE ME poked his head in front inside foes down the backside, disposed of the early speed rivals to open up, loose up top with five sixteenths from the prize, was moving well in the two path inside runners still up front at the furlong marker, drifted out slightly in the late stages of the race trying to hold the lead but could not fend off the surge by the winner at the finish. SIGNATURE SIR was off a step slow on the break, was roused on the fence trying to get better forward position early on, drafted smartly behind the lead trio into the turn, slipped up the rail midway around the bend, shifted out with momentum three wide between horses at the top of the lane, was checked slightly while fading at the sixteenth pole and just held on for third money from the oncoming outside foe at the finish line. JUST JACOBO was unhurried, trailing in the beginning, made little impression around the oval, swung out widest in the five path picking up the tiring early speed foes in upper stretch and had a good late sustained run to almost close in and get the show money at the wire. BOURBON NORTH prompted the pace three deep along the backside, chased the leader just outside but was losing ground with five sixteenths remaining and in the two path lacked a rally in the stretch. DEVIL'S TONGUE pressed the early issue between rivals, retreated in the two path in midturn and had little left for the drive, emptying out by upper stretch. Copyright 2026 Equibase Company LLC.
