Chart notes
HOLD MY HAT broke sharply and was on the pace in the initial stages, dropped out then rallied four wide into the stretch, finished well under steady handling and urging and was up in plenty of time. MERONEY veered in after the start putting WHOLELOTTADEAL in tight, then vied three wide from the start, took a slight lead turning from home, lugged in and leaned on FORTY THREE CENTS then was outfinished in a decent debut. FORTY THREE CENTS broke in and put BIG ROUX in tight, battled for the early lead from between horses, kept on well into the stretch but took a couple of bumps from MERONEY late in the stretch, weakened in the final furlong but was able to save the show. HIGH ADVENTURE shied a bit from QUINNSALTYOFFICER after the break, then hustled from the break but unable to contest the early pace, lost ground on the turn got an inside run through the turn, the finished willingly to improve despite racing on the wrong lead. WHOLELOTTADEAL got put in a bit tight after the start and shuffled back, went three wide on the turn under a drive then flattened out in the stretch while on the left lead most of the way. QUINNSALTYOFFICER broke in at the start then overcorrected to the outside bothering HIGH ADVANTURE, hustled forward from the inside and contested the pace from the rail then weakened in mid-stretch. ROLL ON LUKE veered out sharply at the break, raced four to five wide and lacked a rally. HES THE BOMB TOO was up close early but had to be coaxed along to do so, raced between horse through the turn then lacked a finish. BIG ROUX steadied after the break, lacked any speed, lugged out a bit going into the turn, then lacked a late bid while lugging in down the stretch. REDREBELPRODUCTION got pinched back after the start, steadied then was outrun and trailed throughout. THE JOCKEY OF #8 WHOLELOTTADEAL LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST #9 MERONEY ALLEGING INTERFERENCE AT THE START. AFTER A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS DISALLOWED THE OBJECTION.
