Chart notes

LAPIS LAZULI asked early while between horses, showed the way out of the chute and up the backstretch, shook clear through the turn and maintained a comfortable advantage to the wire while being kept to task. HARD CANDY in the second flight up the backstretch in the three path, chased the winner through the turn in that lane, could do little with that one through the stretch, edged away for the second spot. WHIP vied up front inside the winner early, fell back off that one after a quarter, gradually weakened through the stretch, managed to hold the show. TIGER DAD last to leave, trailed early, went evenly through the lane in lacking a closing kick. NOISE COMPLAINT was finished early, trailed home. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate final time.
