Chart notes
GOOD AND STOUT tracked mid-pack three wide under a rating hold, made a three wide forward move on the far turn, then rallied four wide under strong handling, gained the lead inside the sixteenth and held off a late bid from the runner-up. ALLNIGHT MOONLIGHT was caught three to four wide for the entire trip, was unhurried near the back through the first half-mile, went three then six wide on the far turn, launched a big rally, closed the margin on the eventual winner but came up short. HOUSE BOURBON broke well, got to the front and led the field onto the main course, set moderate fractions to the far turn, quickened on cue when challenged on the far turn, held a short lead in to the stretch, responded when roused in upper stretch, battled gamely but gave way to a pair of closers in the final yards. COSMIC TRAIN lacked speed and raced near the rear to the inside of JEFFROW, advanced down the backstretch then circled the field four wide and finished well under a drive. WICKED SECRET raced two wide near the back through the early stages, had some trouble changing leads at the top of the stretch but finished up well. SONYA KNOWS BETTER settled mid-pack, was stuck behind horses on the far turn and into the stretch, rallied willingly when clear in deep stretch but was too late. HIGHLAND CREEK was in the front half of the field going down the backstretch, moved up to be close to the pace heading into the far turn, got an inside run through the far turn, angled to the rail and rallied, but was outkicked in the final yards. TDZSHININLUCKYSTAR was forwardly placed from the start, tracked to the far turn then made a bid for the lead approaching the stretch, loomed to deep stretch but lacked the needed late kick. TAKE CHARGE J J saved ground, raced mid-pack, finished evenly. SAINT GABRIEL pulled on the rider up the chute and onto the main course, tracked the lone pacesetter down the backstretch, went to press for the lead approaching the stretch, then was outkicked to the finish by most of the field. JEFFROW unhurried from the start and settled at the back through the early stages, tried to rally late but failed to make any impact. BEHEMAH STAR tracked two to three wide to the far turn, loomed a big threat late on the far turn then faltered in the stretch.
