Chart notes
HE'S JUST LUCKY hustled to the front, opened up on the field before the half, maintained a clear lead through the turn then opened up in the stretch and went unchallenged to the wire under a hand ride. CLEAR AS A BELE was last away then rushed up to be in contention on the turn, bid four wide at the top of the stretch and finished up well, but could not get to the runaway winner. BLACK SWORD tracked three wide with the second flight then finished with interest to gain the third spot. STOVALL broke sharply then backed off to be a the back heading into the turn, ran on well late and just missed getting a minor award. CARPIS away well, tracked inside into turn, went evenly late and lacked a finishing kick. MARKS PROMISE chased from between horses in the second flight behind the pacesetter, went into drive leaving the three furlong pole, then went flat in the stretch. BIG CHOPPER lacked speed, raced at the back of the pack down the backstretch, trailed through the turn, was kept to task late and passed one before the wire. RANCH BADGE was outrun in the early stages, then came under the crop leaving the three furlong grounds and faltered in the stretch.
