Chart notes
KINGS RIVER KNIGHT led two wide into the first turn, dueled with MR. DISRESPECTFUL around the bend, lost command into the backstretch, pressed from outside, lost touch with the leader at the seven-sixteenths pole, challenged again at the five-sixteenths pole, lugged out under the left hand in upper stretch, switched to the right hand and put a head in front the eighth pole, lugged in approaching the sixteenth marker and drove clear. MR. DISRESPECTFUL showed early speed inside KINGS RIVER KNIGHT, took control leaving the first turn, showed the way under pressure in the middle stages, cleared at the seven-sixteenths pole, took pressure from KINGS RIVER KNIGHT again at the five-sixteenths marker, dueled into the final furlong, got forced in outside the sixteenth pole and held second. RODRIGOKNOWS stalked from inside then two wide around the clubhouse turn, traveled on the inside into the far turn, moved and came three wide into the stretch, then finished willingly for the show honors. BARELY FUNTIONAL unhurried on the inside then eased off the rail around the first turn, trailed three wide into the second bend, angled out past the sixteenth pole and widest at the top of lane, then showed a mild rally while driting inward the final furlong. ROYAL 'N RANDO settled three then four wide early, stayed wide to the far turn, came six wide into the lane and needed to find more in the late stages. COWBOY MIKE stalked in the three path, came under a ride four then five wide on the far turn and weakened. FREEPORT JOE was rank early and started to climb on the inside then in the two path, chased off the pace two then three wide on the far turn and proved no menace.
