Chart notes
IRON ORCHARD off to a sharp beginning and straight to the front, showed the way in hand along the inside and then just off the inside, took the two path into upper stretch, came under a light drive with three-sixteenths to go and drew clear, got geared down midway to the sixteenth marker from the eighth pole to prevail comfortably on the wire, the outcome in no doubt. BIRCH RUN got bumped at the start by SALT PRINCESS, who shied in from JENNY WADE breaking inwards, chased three then two wide coming under encouragement from the three-eighths marker, advanced and went six wide into upper stretch, proved no match for the top one while running on clear of the rest to be along second best. DOLCE VINO coaxed from the start, chased four paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn coaxed along from the five-sixteenths, spun two to three wide into upper stretch and weakened in the late stages while along for the show honors. PAN PAN chased four to five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then four then three wide through the turn urged along from three furlongs out, went seven wide at the head of the stretch and improved position to the finish. SALT PRINCESS shied in at the start in reaction to JENNY WADE breaking inwards and in turn bumped BIRCH RUN, chased five then four wide under a ride from the seven-sixteenths, went six to seven wide for home and passed tired rivals to the finish. WINROOSKI stumbled badly at the start nearly belly flopping on the ground, recovered and chased five paths off the inside down the backstretch advancing to be forwardly placed just off the leader when tucking three wide into the turn, came under urging three furlongs from home, angled three to four wide into upper stretch and tired. TWO BY TWO BY TWO coaxed from the gate, chased six paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked three then two wide through the turn under coaxing from the seven-sixteenths, angled three to four wide for home and made no impact. JENNY WADE broke in at the start, chased just off the inside and then along the inside under a ride from three furlongs out, cornered just off the inside into upper stretch and tired. PROBABLE CHOICE lunged at the break, chased along the inside under a ride from the seven-sixteenths, spun three wide into upper stretch, faltered in the drive.
