Chart notes
CHESS MASTER brushed with foes at the start, was rated just off the pace, dropped back some under a vigorous hold late on the backstretch, went around the turn in the two path, was roused outside the quarter-pole, turned into the stretch in the four path, moved further out while commencing a rally shortly thereafter, bumped with CLOUDY while gaining outside the furlong marker, closed well to get the lead inside the sixteenth-pole and prevailed under strong handling. MAYA PRINCE was well positioned just off the pace, ranged up in the two path on the turn, made a bid outside the five-sixteenths pole, gained the lead in upper stretch, led under the crop into the final sixteenth, swapped back to her inside lead late and was caught while able to hold the place. FLUID SITUATION brushed with a rival at the start, was well placed just off the pace, saved ground while drafting behind the leader on the turn, moved to the two path outside the quarter-pole, was put to a drive in upper stretch, moved out outside the eighth-pole, chased into the final sixteenth and finished willingly for the show while crowded a touch late. CLOUDY settled on the outside but was given cover, dropped from the three path to the two path about midway through the turn then went back to the three path, was asked for his best while coming out some in upper stretch, bumped with CHESS MASTER outside the furlong marker, chased into the final sixteenth and lacked the needed kick. DOCTOR JEFF was urged along towards the rear, moved from the rail to the three path on the turn, shifted to the five path outside the quarter-pole, spun into upper stretch in the seven path and lacked the needed response. HEAVEN STREET brushed with an opponent at the start, went to the front then showed the way, vied inside on the turn, was asked nearing the quarter-pole, lost the advantage in upper stretch and gave way. SCHEDULING DUDE was hustled from the gate, stalked the pace on the outside, dropped back in the four then five path on the turn and had nothing left. HILARIOUS AFFAIR acted-up just as the gate opened and was off very slow, saved ground at the rear of the field, came off the rail into upper stretch and was no factor.
