Chart notes
SUPER SERENADE was content to let the early pacemaker go on with it along the backside in the beginning, narrowed the gap outside with a half mile to run, crept closer when encouraged right-handed in midturn to be in the hunt four wide straightening for home and determinedly outgamed rivals in the last sixteenth to just get up for the win in deep stretch. FROGINAPOND was brushed inside to begin having a stalking role after the start, made an early move for a better inside position down the backstretch to track the leader on the rail with a half mile remaining, waited for the cue to go inside throughout the turn, shifted from the rail in upper stretch having a seam two wide by the furlong marker, burst between horses to briefly poke her head in front with a sixteenth left to run but could not fend off the late charge by the winner in the final few strides. EM CHAMAS moved well in hand loose on the lead into the backstretch, had company outside slowing the tempo down by the half, moved ahead again, comfortably dictating terms around the bend, maintained the advantage just off the fence entering the stretch, offered little resistance inside a couple of runners at the sixteenth pole and finished up well enough late to be a clear but non-threatening third in the end. MISS OZEGE bobbled and broke out to trail on the start, had to be geared down on the fence when coming up to runners at the seven sixteenths pole, shifted outside midturn starting to make a rally, swung out widest in the seven path turning for home and finished up one paced to settle on the fringes in the end. OUR STELLA settled in midfield on the inside down the backside, was asked for more with runners on either side at the three eighths pole, offered little response around the oval, shifted out to be three wide for the drive to the wire and lacked a rally inside foes to the finish line. MEDUSA'S GOLD travelled in mid-division outside a rival along the back straight, was shuffled back four deep near the rear by the half, made little headway between horses at the quarter pole and had little to show outside rivals down the stretch.
