MAXINE MAGIC had a good position nestled on the rail watching the lead two in the early going, dropped back slightly on the rail around the first bend to stalk along the backstretch, shifted to the outside with a half left to run, started to uncork a sharp rally swooping around runners through the last turn, seized command four wide outside rivals at the top of the stretch and won going away when crossing the finish line. ARCTIC BLONDE cleared from the outer post comfortably to get the front on the fence into the first turn, was pressed outside by an outside rival while setting a soft pace by the half, opened up again by the five sixteenths pole, had no answer when the winner swept right on by in upper stretch but did fight on down the lane to easily best the rest for the runners up share at the wire. WHAT A COMPLEX drafted behind the pacesetter in the early stages of the race on the rail, waited patiently still inside in the second flight through the far turn, shifted out off the fence to be two wide by mid-stretch making a run and finished up willingly to get up for third money between horses in the late running. PAT'S HOLIDAY traveled outside in the middle of the pack, moved in closer while three deep along the backside keeping a close eye on the leader, rallied three deep midway around the turn edging up on the lead group to be in conversation three wide turning for home and finished up evenly to the wire to settle for a minor role in the end. LOVE STRIKE was off slowly to be at the rear after the break, co-trailed inside around the initial bend, stalked down the backstretch making little progression, was roused at the three furlong pole offering little response on the last turn and could only manage to pass a weary foe outside in upper stretch. SUNNYVILLE was fractious in the stall prior to the break, broke inwards filling the void by the slow starter leaving the gate, was hustled circling four wide around the first turn to apply pressure outside to the frontrunner along the backside,, had little left to give from his early efforts by the three eighths marker, was engulfed on both sides around the last turn and emptied out three wide at the top of the stretch. MAGICCREST was bumped on the outside on the break to co-trail with another rival inside around the first of two turns, could not keep up to the group by the half, lost touch with the field running around the final bend and galloped home playing no factor in the stretch drive.
