Chart notes
MAYBE DOLCIE was not asked for speed from the break, rated in mid-pack inside, set up a run from midway on the far turn then came four wide with a clear path into the stretch and produced a bold rally, swept past the leaders in deep stretch and was up in plenty of time. GET READY GAL was guided to the front under mild coaxing, led the way under a good hold with the field bunched up behind, gave way to PAINTBRUSH midway down the backstretch and was content to stalk inside, responded when set down at the top of the stretch, finished up well, led late but could not match the winner in the final yards. FINE FINISH broke best but was content to cede the early advantage, settled inside just behind the leaders and rated to the far turn, waited for room late on the far turn, finished up well under strong handling but came up short. WILD EXPRESS tucked in and held up behind the pace through the first bend, the tracked close up in the three path down the backstretch, launched a bid approaching the three-furlong pole, bid four wide into the stretch, and finished up well but was quite good enough to get the job done. PAINTBRUSH allowed to settle after the break, then took advantage of the slow early pace to range up three wide and grab the lead on the first turn, held a narrow advantage down the backstretch and through the turn, was overtaken in upper stretch and outfinished in the final furlong. KENTUCKY ANGEL was void of speed from the break, settled on the rail at the back of the pack, angled out to the three path to set up a run through the far turn, moved up then swung eight-wide into the stretch, finished willingly but was outfinished and unable to close the margin. GEOMETRIQUE missed the break then walked away from the gate, settled two-wide at the back through the early stages, launched a bid with three furlongs to run but was unable to make much headway and was outkicked in the late stages. SAN MATEO KAT unsettled before the break, came out awkwardly and was off very slowly, steadily advanced from the back to be within striking distance of the front late on the backstretch, came under a stiff drive midway on the turn but was unable to improve in the stretch.
