HOFF hustled to a slight early lead, dueled with a rival through the turn while full of run, opened up at the top of the stretch the held safe under an outside threat in the final yards. LET'S GO MARK broke well, then settled wide with the tracking group, moved up approaching the quarter pole to bid for the lead, chased the winner home with determination, but was unable to get up. SPRINGTOWN was slow into stride, angled over to the rail when clear, chased the field to the turn, advanced through the turn, then became boxed in at the top of the stretch, finished well when clear but could not get to the top pair. CATALINA CRUSH raced close up with the tracking group, launched a bid from the three furlong pole, loomed a big threat at the top of the stretch, was finishing well, but was not quite good enough. PINEHURST (IRE) hustled into the early pace mix, vied two-deep to the turn, dropped off the pace and finished evenly. PASS LINE tracked three wide from mid-pack, finished willingly but was outkicked in the final furlong. STORM MAN raced at the back of the main pack, bid four to five wide through the turn and into the stretch and was mildly gaining while never a serious threat. ELUSIVE POWER raced four wide outside of the tracking group, launched a bid and loomed a threat passing the quarter pole, but faltered in the stretch. MIKEL W was four wide in the early pace scramble, fanned four wide at the top of the stretch, and gave way. MOONSHINE MISCHIEF contested the early pace on the inside of about five horses early, backed off before the turn, then took up sharply through the turn, dropped to last, and was unable to recover. NORWAY BEACH dropped out early, was the distant trailer and not persevered with when hopelessly behind.
