Chart notes
BIG HUG prompted the pace for the first half mile, assumed command when the pacesetter gave way entering the far turn, pulled clear to the top of the lane, dug-in when challenged in the final eighth and prevailed in a determined drive. SUNBLAZE unhurried in the early going to be the trailer, closed the gap along the rail down the backstretch, rallied in upper stretch to engage the winner just inside the eighth pole and battled with that one in the final sixteenth only to be denied and settle for second best in a good effort. FORCE TO REKN WITH stalked the pace down the backside, rallied on the final bend to loom nearing the quarter pole, could not keep pace with the winner and finished evenly as best of the rest. MATURITY DATE set the pace on a clear lead through the first turn, came under steady pressure from the winner down the backside and was empty on the far turn running on through the lane. SILKSTONE chased the leaders to the far turn from five wide and lacked a closing response. TONE IT UP went evenly never posing a threat.
