Chart notes
HIWAY FORTYNINE set a pressured pace to the top of the lane, kicked away from the presser in upper stretch and finished well to hold the closers safe in a game effort. KAMAL stalked the pace through the turn, rallied well in the stretch failing to gain on the winner while a clear second best. SOUND OF APPLAUSE took a left turn leaving the gate to squeeze HE CAN DANGLE back and bump COSMIC'S TURN off stride, straightened away to race mid-pack and showed some interest with a steady gain in the lane. LIL MISS ADDY raced between rivals tracking the pace on the turn and rallied willingly in the lane. HE CAN DANGLE impeded at the start when squeezed out by outside rival and shut off and raced evenly from there having lost all chance at the break. DAZ LIN COMMAND pressed the pace to the head of the stretch and gave way through the lane tiring. COSMIC'S TURN was bumped off stride by SOUND OF APPLAUSE leaving the gate to drop back to be the trailer and was outrun from there. THE STEWARDS POSTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE START AND UPON REVIEW DISQUALIFIED SOUND OF APPLAUSE AND PLACED HIM FIFTH.
