Chart notes
SAINT BENJI was forwardly placed while racing four-wide, moved up to gain the lead nearing the eighth pole and edged clear late. TAPBYANGELS saved ground while being reserved off the pace, angled out to come five-wide into the stretch and finished strongly. WRECKLESS RHETT vied with SURF RANGER for the lead from along the outside and held on gamely during the drive. SURF RANGER vied for the lead with WRECKLESS RHETT from along the inside into the stretch and weakened late. IN A PICKLE saved ground while being allowed to settle, came three-wide into the stretch but lacked a rally. TWENTYTHREEONBLACK prompted the early pace racing three-wide and tired. MIKE'S EXCESS raced in the back of the field while saving ground and failed to seriously threaten. PEACE PARDNER was unhurried early, came four-wide into the stretch and was not a factor,.
