Chart notes
LORD HENNESSY sped to the lead just after the start, set the pace with HARPER'S AFLEET the only close pursuer, held firm and saved ground still unleashed around the turn, stayed inside entering the upper stretch, widened advantage under a hand ride and was never asked. HARPER'S AFLEET was the only close pursuer of the leader in early stages, came under firm handling two wide around the turn, ran on into the lane, was no match for winner but finished clearly second best. AVERYZ DAY raced off the clear top pair into the turn, came three to four wide into the upper stretch and ran on for a share. ESTEVE saved ground and failed to move into contention. H. J.'S BOY chased in range in opening stages then steadily retreated.
