Chart notes
RISING INFLATION was close to the pace while traveling well, took command near the seven-sixteenth pole, opened up on the turn, and ran away from the rest through the stretch to an easy win. JOJO BEAN tracked close up four-wide, was set down to go after the eventual winner midway on the turn, was no match for that one but kept on under handling and steady urging to hold the place. THE PRETTY SISTER pulled the rider to the front, vied inside through moderate fractions, dropped back as the pace quickened going into the turn, then came back under some urging, bid three wide into the stretch, and gained third under urging. IN B. J.'S HONOR was held up at the back through the early running and passed a couple of tired ones in the stretch. TOMMIE G pulled to the front despite the rider doing his best to prevent a run-off situation, tried to go with RISING INFLATION when that one quickened leaving the seven-sixteenths pole, but was no match and faltered in the stretch. COME WHAT MAE lacked early speed and was unhurried well behind the main pack, and never threatened.
