Chart notes
DUNDIE stalked the pace from four wide through the turn, rallied to the lead in a four-way battle in mid-stretch and prevailed in a determined drive. CITY TRIPPER reserved off the pace near the rear of the field, waited patiently on the turn, angled seven wide at the top of the lane, closed well to duel the winner in the final eighth and was denied in a game effort. GENERAL WINSTON raced along the inside to be well placed just off the leaders, rallied up the inside to threaten midway down the lane and was outkicked by the top pair coming home. SANPIRODU unhurried to be the trailer to the head of the stretch, rallied from four wide, angled in through traffic midway down the lane and showed good late interest. LOOKIN TO EXCEL set a pressured pace to midway down the lane and weakened in the final eighth. DR SCHUSTER pressed the pace from three wide for a half and gave way turning for home.
