Chart notes
CHI CHI TIME away alertly and vied for the lead from along the rail entering the stretch the first time, set a pressured pace from the inside of WHY NOTS A WYNNER through the second turn and in the run down the backstretch, disposed of her pace rival in the run to the final turn, held a clear lead through the turn, and widened late while under confident handling. SOMEDAY LADY away well and stalked the early pace while saving ground at the rail through the stretch the first time, continued to save ground through the second turn and in the run down the backside, rallied smartly two wide entering the final turn, and closed willingly one out from the rail in the drive to prove easily second best. SAILING FORCE unhurried early while dropping back to trail entering the lane the first time, bided her time at the back of the pack through the second turn, rallied smartly from along the rail entering the final turn, took up sharply when in tight quarters midway through the turn, and closed determinedly four wide in the drive to get up for a share. MISS SUNDAZE broke sharply and was allowed to settle off the early pace while racing mid pack through the stretch the first time, held her position in the run down the backstretch, rallied three wide through the final turn, but lacked the needed closing response in the drive when called upon. I'M IN CONTROL settled towards the back of the pack while racing one out from the rail entering the stretch the first time, continued to bide her time well off the pace in the run down the backside, rallied four wide entering the final turn, and needed more when called upon. WHY NOTS A WYNNER rushed up to duel for the lead from the outside of CHI CHI TIME through the stretch the first time, continued to force the issue through the second turn and in the run down the backside, struggled to keep pace with that rival in the run to the final turn, and faded over the final furlong. BREEZIN BRIANNE pressed the pace three wide entering the stretch the first time, before easing into a tracking trip approaching the second turn, began to drop back in the run to the final turn, and weakened over the final furlong. Following the running of this race there was a jockey's claim of foul. The rider of MISS SUNDAZE lodged a claim of foul against the rider of SOMEDAY LADY, for alleged interference away from the gate.
