Chart notes
PERP WALK away well, vied between horses always travling well, poked a head in front at the five-sixteenths marker, was put to urging at the top of the stretch, then opened up in upper stretch and won going away. PEA EYE veered out after the start, pressed the pace three wide to the top of the stretch, had every chance at the top of the stretch, then finished evenly while outkicked in the late stages by the winner. CHIVATO did not engage with the early pace and dropped a few lenghts back in the initial stages, moved up to regain contact with the rest heading into the turn, advanced three wide to contend at the top of the stretch, finished up well to gain the third prize but was never at threat to the top pair. TOO COLD AT HOME broke well but ceded the front, was always close up while keeping to the inside, came off the rail late on the turn, tried to rally, but was outfinished. KEEP A COPY broke well and vied inside for the early lead, gave way under pressure, leaving the five-sixteenths marker, and had little left in the stretch.
