Chart notes
FLASHY LOVER broke sharply, pressed the pace four-wide down the backstretch, put a head in front with three furlongs to run, had a clear lead at the top of the stretch, responded to handling and won clear with a lone rival making a belated bid in the final furlong. HELLO HOT ROD settled close up while keeping to the inside path, had nowhere to run early on the turn but took advantage of an opening near the top of the strech, ran on well, was mildly gaining on the winner while well clear of the third finisher. SHUT UP MAN vied two deep contesting the early pace, held position into the turn, then dropped off the pace near the five-sixteenths marker, tried to rally four-wide into the stretch, finished up best of the rest but was never a threat to the top pair. ALLEVA chased behind the main pack through the early stages, responded when asked to go on from the five-sixteenths marker, spun five-wide into the stretch, could not find another gear when needed and flattened out. CIGAR VAN raced close up three-wide, launched a brief, mild bid late on the turn but flattened out in upper stretch. RAKA RAKA CRUZ vied inside, gave way near he five-sixteenths marker, and stopped in the stretch. BELLO CREEDO was briefly close up right behind the early pace, then started to retreat after passing the half-mile pole, dropped far behind and was not persevered with when hopelessly behind, and galloped out to the finish.
