Chart notes
TWO TWENTY TWO was away well, dueled outside of SHELTOWEES BLING down the backstretch and through the turn always traveling well, came into the stretch under confident handling, then drew off under a hand ride. SOUP TODAY tracked two-wide close up racing down the backstretch, bid three-wide leaving the quarter pole, took a bump from SHELTOWEES BLING in mid-stretch, was unable to get to the winner, but won the race for the second prize. SHELTOWEES BLING dueled inside of TWO TWENTY TWO through the turn, tried to fight back when that rival took the lead in upper stretch, had trouble changing leads through the stretch, was outfinished, and had to settle for the minor award. SCIOTO was a little slow to get going, then got into a good rhythm after passing the half-mile pole, chased the leaders through the turn, racing on the inside, had some trouble changing leads at the top of the stretch, and flattened out some in mid-stretch. TRIANGULO ROJO stumbled badly at the start, nearly losing the rider, was far behind early, but kept to task and beat one rival to the finish line. MONEY MAGIC broke well, was briefly close up in the initial stages, then was in chase mode from the half-mile pole, lost ground on the turn, and was not a factor in the stretch.
