Chart notes
JAKE BRAKE ALLEY hustled to the lead from the break, led the way down the backstretch with the rest in close pursuit, turned back a challenge from SIR MI TOLEE at the quarter pole, then went clear under steady handling and just lasted over a fast closing rival on the outside. EAGLES CRY tracked three wide throughout, put in a good late run to gain the place, but ran out of time to catch the winner. SIR MI TOLEE rushed up after a tardy start to be the closest pursuer to the leader, moved up approaching the quarter pole to bid for the lead but was rebuffed, kept on gamely in the stretch but weakend in the final furlong and had to settle for third. GOING AT IT was last in the compact field but never far back, had to be ridden to keep pace from the middle of the turn, was kept to task but never menaced. GENGHIS raced in the middle of the pack and was outfinished in the stretch.
