DEAL EM tracked the leaders three wide entering the first tur, before engaging and forcing the issue three wide midway down the backstretch and into the final turn, and closed determinedly three wide in the drive to wear down ROCKCLIFFE in the closing strides to prevail. ROCKCLIFFE away alertly and vied for the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace in the run down the backside and through the final turn, took the narrowest of leads into the lane, and just failed to last. BACK SHACK broke sharply and dueled for the lead from the outside of ROCKCLIFFE entering the first turn, forced the issue two wide from between rivals in the run down the backstretch and into the final turn, and closed willingly from along the rail in the lane to garner a share. PISCO away well and stalked the leaders in the run down the backside while racing just out from the rail, saved ground while launching his bid through the final turn, and finished with late interest four wide in the drive. CHICKASAW unhurried early while trailing the field into the first turn, was always well back and failed to make a late impact when called upon.
