KAUSE I'M DEVINE was rank through the first turn, racing well off the pace to the inside, bided time near the rear while saving ground, got a fortunate opening three-wide near the top of the stretch, responded willingly when set down, and produced a strong rally to get up in time. SHE'S A GOLD LADY was sent from the start and took the lead in the middle of the first turn, led the way down the backstretch, lost the lead in mid-stretch to ONE EYE SUPER FLY, but came back on under strong handling and urging to retake the lead, only to be passed by the winner on the outside in the final jump. ONE EYE SUPER FLY broke out at the start, raced close up to SHE'S A GOLD LADY under some restraint early, was let loose passing the half-mile marker, pulled even in upper stretch, put a head in front in mid-stretch, then had no response when that resurgent foe came back on in the shadow of the wire. PRONUNCIATION was pushed to get forward position and got the inside position through the first turn, was held up off the pace through the first half, tipped out three wide for the stretch run, and finished well but came up short. BELMIRA shied from an inside rival, then was unhurried from the start, settled at the back, launched a six-wide bid late on the far turn and ran on some while no real threat. DUTTON STREET GIRL settled two-wide near the back and lacked the needed response in the stretch. CRAFTY AUNT lunged at the start and was off a step slowly, raced mid-pack, got an inside run through the far turn, but flattened out in the stretch. LA CAMELIA chased close up three-wide then was outrun through the stretch. CHANNEL LAUNCH settled inside and lacked a closing kick. SPIN THE BREEZE raced close up three to four wide, then was outfinished in the stretch.
