Chart notes
BELLE BLAZE veered out at the start, bothering the horses in the two adjacent stalls, was allowed to settle from the break, raced close up two-wide, moved on midway through the turn to challenge for the lead, loomed three wide at the top of the stretch, responded when set down in upper stretch, went clear in deep stretch, and held safe from a fast closing rival to the outside. BUZZWORTHY was outrun early and settled in the middle of the pack, launched a bid with about three furlongs to run, lugged in at the top of the stretch, then surged late once straightened out and closed the gap on the winner but came up short. DEADLY BEAUTY hustled hard from the break, dueled with MORO PRINCESS early and through the turn, dug in under a threat near the quarter pole but went a little flat in the late stages. QUEEN WILHELMINA took a bump at the start, outrun early, rallied from far back through the turn, came four wide into the stretch, and made up a ton of ground but came up well short. CANOGA stumbled coming out of the gate, then was broadsided by CASHOUT CAROL and bounced into GOLDEN PELICAN, moved up four wide near the seven-sixteenths marker to gain contention, then bid four-wide for the lead at the top of the stretch, had every chance but weakened a bit in the final furlong. ANGEL FROM ABOVE away well, tracked close up along the rail, finished up well inside. MORO PRINCESS hustled from the start, dueled outside of DEADLY BEAUTY through the turn, was under pressure to keep up late on the turn and was outfinished in the stretch. CASHOUT CAROL broke inward and bumped hard with CANOGA, was briefly close up in the initial stages, then steadily dropped back and was not a factor in the stretch. WARM DAYS was impeded by BELLE BLAZE at the start then, completely void of speed from the start, was far, far back through the early stages and tried to run on some late. GOLDEN PELICAN broke slow, veered out then was bumped by CANOGA, overcorrected to the inside, took up, spotting the field a head start, chased down the backstretch, then started to lose ground through the turn and showed little interest in the stretch.
