Chart notes
OCELOT settled along the rail, raced in the middle of the pack while always traveling well, slipped through an opening along the rail near the top of the stretch, and went clear under a vigorous hand ride. MOR VICTORY made the lead going into the first turn, then had the field line up behind through the early stages, maintained the lead through the far turn, then drifted out a bit turning into the stretch, leaving the rail open for OCELOT, chased that one to the line but could not make up any ground late. CARLEA'S DREAM tracked in second position through the first half-mile, moved up approaching the quarter pole, finished up well but lacked the needed response to improve. REGAL TERKA unhurried from the start, took the fourth position as the field lined up behind the leader, made a forward move going into the far turn, then had every chance turning for home but was outfinished and unable to make up any ground. MANDOLIN WIND settled at the rear of the field was never too far back but was unable to improve.
