Chart notes
KNOCK KNOCK JOKE broke well and showed good speed from the start without being asked, contested the early pace three-wide, going well in hand, put a head n front approaching the three-furlong pole, got a little push-back from FIRE IN MY SOUL but shook off that rival spinning into the stretch and held well clear under steady handling. CHAPERONE broke in and bumped with FIRE IN MY SOUL at the start, was two-wide with the tracking pair, launched a bid after passing the half-mile pole, then made a sustained run under steady handling, was never getting to the winner but won the battle for the place. FIRE IN MY SUL mutually bumped with CHAPERONE after the break, was the middle horse in the early pace battle, was unable to on with KNOCK KNOCK JOKE from the quarter pole, then engaged with CHAPERONE in a spirited battle for the second spot and came up short. LIFE AT SEA raced well behind the pace battle and made up some ground late after the issue had long been decided up front. YO SOY ROY was distanced early and never a factor. UNDER CONTRACT hustled from the break, secured the inside position and a share of the lead on the first turn, then was the inside horse of three contesting the early pace, was the first of the trio to back out leaving the seven-sixteenths marker, dropped to last, and stopped.
