Chart notes
BENDER was unhurried from the break, raced between horses at the back in the run down the backstretch, launched a bid approaching the quarter pole, gradually closed the gap to COASTAL JAZZ on the lead, and drove clear in the final yards. COASTAL JAZZ easily made the front, maintained a length or two margin through the turn, then started to shorten strides in upper stretch, and was collared by BENDER inside the final sixteenth. AR YA WEEGEE raced on the inside of the tracking group, produced an even finish but lacked a late kick. PRISONER tracked just behind the pace 3-wide, went to challenge approaching the quarter pole but could not produce the needed late response. RUGGS raced between horses just behind the pacesetter, then was outfinished in the stretch. MINE THAT STAR raced three-wide at the back of the field, made a mild four-wide bid on the turn but could not sustain the rally through the stretch. POSITIVITY was the inside horse of the trio at the back, maintained position, but was never a threat. This race had a timing malfunction or discrepancy and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
