Chart notes
BULLY BOY broke well, tracked five-wide not far behind, advanced through the turn to bid for the lead four wide at the top of the stretch, finished well under steady handling, and went clear in the late stages. ALBERTUS pressed the pace three-wide, pushed to the lead at the five-sixteenths marker, then dug in under challenge from a pair of rivals, finished up well under steady handling under intermittent urging, and kept on to win the second prize. BUY LOCAL tracked just off the pace racing four-wide, was fanned five-wide in a bid for the lead at the top of the stretch, loomed a danger, then hung and flattened out in the final yards. EYE FOR AN EYE hustled to the front after a bit of a tardy start, got a share of the lead near the half-mile pole, dueled through the turn, was inside of four horses across the track at the top of the stretch, then gave way grudgingly late. PI TIME raced mid-pack, made a mild bid, then flattened out in the stretch. MISCHIEF MAKER slow into stride, never threatened. BLAMEITONBLANTONS broke awkwardly to the inside and was last away, dropped far back then passed tired ones in the stretch. BOY WILDCAT lacked early speed, raced three to four wide, and lacked a rally. WEST COAST CLASS pressed the pace from the inside, started to back off through the turn, then was not involved late. COUNTRY CLUB SPORT dueled inside of a rival, then stopped in upper stretch. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
