AMOROSA settled in hand just after the start and raced two wide into the first turn, stayed in the two path and stalked the pacesetter up the backstretch, let out a notch and advanced to challenge RED ROMANCE for the lead, vied briefly then cleared command late on the far turn, hustled along two wide into the upper stretch, came under left handed pressure, responded willingly, pulled away and raced in hand approaching the wire. AIN'T LIFE GRAND hopped in the air then hesitated and came away slowly at the start, spotted the field six lengths, was well off the pace in the opening quarter, steadily gained ground through the backstretch, advanced into contention three wide around the far turn, came under right handed pressure going by the quarter pole, sustained a steady three wide bid through the lane and cleared second best, game effort. IOWA CLUB was forwardly placed around the first turn, stayed inside and stalked the leader up the backstretch, hustled along the rail around the far turn, came two wide into the head of the lane, got in tight and steadied in the upper stretch, came back under a ride and prevailed for a share. RED ROMANCE veered outward at the start then sped to the lead, set the uncontested pace up the backstretch, got collared by eventual winner near the quarter pole, came out a path in upper stretch, then flattened and lost show late. FINISH UP got carried out wider at the start and raced in the back around the first turn and backstretch, urged along the rail at the head of the lane, showed brief interest then flattened out. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
