Chart notes
STEELY EYE vied outside of rivals for the lead up the backstretch, continued to match strides outside of I LIKE IT BLACK around the turn and into the stretch run, dug in gamely under firm handling and edged away late. GREASEPAINTGROUCHO tracked the early pace and saved ground around the turn, tipped two wide entering the head of the lane, shifted back to the rail, advanced into striking distance, sustained a steady inside bid and captured place. I LIKE IT BLACK was off as step slow at the start then advanced to duel for the early lead, vied inside of STEELY EYE around the turn, battled on into the lane and got denied late. MYJERSEYSAYSGOOD broke on top and vied for the early lead then weakened off the top pair entering the turn, launched a three to four wide rebid at the head of the lane and ran on for a minor share. CAUSE I'M ROLLIN raced off the early pace, hustled along two to three wide into the upper stretch and lacked a needed rally. SOMBRADENOCHE dropped to the back after the opening quarter, saved ground around the turn and retreated in the lane.
