Chart notes
THE BIG CON (GB) was hard held to be the trailer in the compact field, made a steady advance into the turn, drug the rider to the lead sweeping up five wide at the quarter pole, quickly opened a clear lead, and drew off while geared down late. EXPO CITY prompted the pace to the far turn, rallied to challenge for the lead at the quarter pole, was no match for the winner and finished willingly as second best. MR. HOOLIGAN stalked th pace from four wide to the final turn, rallied midway around the bend to loom turning for home, could not keep pace with the winner, battled the runner-up to mid-stretch and gave way tiring in the final eighth. GRAB MY TAB was well placed down the backside, lost postion on the bend when the rest all made their charge and kept-on to just miss the show. SEALAND raced wide into the first turn on a clear lead, held the advantage to the far turn and came up empty.
