Chart notes
MYLUCKEYVALENTINE dueled two-deep through moderate fractions, was set down and gained a slight advantage mid-way on the far turn, came in to the stretch with a clear lead and held sway under steady handling and urging. PRIME MOTIVE tracked just behind the dueling leaders through the early stages, was sent to challenge for the lead with three furlongs to go, chased the winner home but won the battle for the place. KING FREUD broke well and moved up through the clubhouse turn to duel inside of MYLUCKEYVALENTINE going down the backstretch, gave way near the quarter pole but kept on well but was out finished for the third spot. LUCKY LUCKY LUKE settled mid-pack three-to-four wide through the early stages, launched a mild bid on the far turn then went a little flat in the stretch and could not threaten. CLOUD FOREST was always prominent to the inside through the first half-mile, came under a drive after passing the three-furlong pole, then went one-paced in the late stages. VALORE raced about three-wide forward in the main pack, then lacked a kick in the stretch, finishing evenly. BLACKWATER FALLS raced near the back of the main pack and never fired. LONG ASTRIDE got over to the two-pack on the first turn, had good position going down the backstretch, then weakened on the far turn and was not a factor in the late stages. PURE REALIZATION was forwardly placed with the main pack for a half-mile, then came under a ride and struggled to keep up in the latter stages. SUPREME BEING lacked any early speed, raced well behind the main pack and never threatened. THE COLORA KID dwelt at the start and broke well behind the rest, trailed far back and was never a factor.
