Chart notes

FAST JACK pressed the pace three-wide in a four-horse scramble for the early lead, continued to battle determinedly between rivals through the turn and into the stretch with neither relentng, then edged ahead in the final yards to prevail. W W HOTSHOT was the outside horse in the early pace contest, kept on gamely through the stretch but was outfinished in the last jumps. WILDWOOD SICILIAN was outpaced early and fell far behind the rest, found best stride late, made a huge late run and almost got up. RAVIN'S RANSOM was intent on getting the led from the start, took a slight advantage racing between horses in a four-way bid for the early lead, held ground to deep stretch then weakened in the last sixteenth. INDYVILLE raced up close initially then backed off the developing speed duel, was bottled up inside late on the turn, angled out to the three path in deep stretch but was unable to make up ground late. MIDNITE ALEX was off slow, moved out to the four-path early, but was never involved.
