VECTOR broke sharply and pressed the pace three wide entering the first turn, forced the issue two wide from the outside of HORATIO in the run down the backside and into the final turn, battled from between rivals through the turn, and over the final furlong and prevailed in the final strides. HORATIO away well and vied for the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace the run down the backstretch and through the final turn, and just failed to last. COUNTERACT tracked the dueling leaders from just off the rail entering the backside, shifted three wide to launch his bid entering the final turn, and closed determinedly two out from the rail in the drive to just miss. PAY MY WAY settled off the contested early pace while racing one out from the rail in the run down the backstretch, commenced his rally two wide entering the final turn, and finished evenly four wide in the drive. THOMPSON unhurried early while trailing the field into the backstretch, rallied along the inside entering the final turn, but lacked the needed closing response when called upon. ROCKCLIFFE away alertly and dueled for the lead from between rivals entering the first turn, eased into a tracking trip entering the backstretch, rallied two wide into the final turn, but faded over the final furlong.
