Chart notes
SULTRY KITTEN dueled outside of TRE DITA, always traveling better than that one, put that rival away midway through the turn, then opened up a short lead approaching the quarter pole with KELLY'S GIRL in earnest pursuit, maintained a slight advantage under steady handling, and held that stubborn rival at bay through the stretch. KELLY'S GIRL settled behind the dueling leaders, launched a bid leaving the three-furlong pole, got to the flank of SULTRY KITTEN at the top of the stretch, battled that rival determinedly through the stretch while going clear of the rest, was game but could not get by, made one last surge near the wire, but came up short. TRE DITA was sent from the break, dueled with SULTRY KITTEN early and into the turn, came under a ride and gave way to that rival near the five-sixteenths marker, and was outfinished in the stretch but managed to save third. DREAM NAP was outpaced in the initial stages, then was coaxed along late on the backstretch run to move up into contention through the turn, loomed a threat near the quarter pole but went flat in the stretch and was unable to threaten. WHAT'S CRACKIN raced close up through the early stages, then struggled to keep pace on the turn, fell behind, and was not a factor in the stretch. BL FORTY broke in and bumped TRE DITA at the start, lacked any early speed, and was far behind the rest going into the turn, tried to rally coming out of the last bend, but was unable to improve.
