Chart notes
Z TRAIN (IRE) moved comfortably tracking the leader outside early on, took closer order sitting off the flank down the backstretch, was checked briefly at the three furlong pole, recouped to watch the contesting duo at the five sixteenths marker, moved in at the quarter pole to loom boldly shifting out three wide at the top of the stretch and drove past with authority by the sixteenth pole for the win. KATHERINE'S CUB shot across from the outer post in the beginning, slowed it down to dictate a soft pace on the fence around the first turn, narrowly maintained the advantage inside down the backside at the half, was headed outside at the three eighths pole, disposed of the early challenger by the quarter marker, was clinging on inside up front on the fence in mid-stretch, could no match strides with the outside winner in the last sixteenth of a mile and ran on well enough, easily besting the rest for the runners up share. SILENT STRIKE had a good spot nestled on the fence drafting behind the frontrunner, dropped back slightly at the three eighths pole, waited for room to move on the fence through the far turn, hugged the rail at the top of the lane, shifted out for a clear run three wide at the furlong pole, could not threatening the front pair in deep stretch and just lasted for the third money inside at the finish line. KEYTOTHEPARK broke outwards on the start, had the rail in a stalking position in the beginning, had to be taken up briefly with traffic up front going three wide into the initial bend, settled on the fence ahead of only one foe at the half, edged up in hand between horses at the three eighths marker, mounted a rally three wide outside a quarter mile from home, swung out widest gathering momentum in the six path turning for home and just missed closing in outside for the show award at the finish line. PRETTY LIZA was knocked off stride briefly by the inside runner getting out on the start, recovered to sit outside in midfield under the wire for the first time, was one of many who had trouble on the first turn being pushed out six wide, stalked close the the back in the two path between horses down the backside, kept pace three wide outside foes around the final bend but could not get into contention running down the lane. ABINO BAY veered out bumping the outside rival on the break to trail in the beginning, had to go seven wide being forced out on the first turn, was at the back of the pack four deep on the outside into the backstretch, saved ground making no progression on the last turn and failed to menace inside runners two wide in the stretch drive. LEMON SWEETS was in tight on the break, then was on heels behind troubled foes having to go six wide on the first turn, travelled in the three path near the rear between horses along the backside, was relegated to last with three furlongs remaining, angled three wide for the stretch drive, had no finish to offer down the lane but did pick up a straggler in the late running. CALL ME KAYKAY was in tight quarters having to go five wide pushing out rivals on the first turn, recovered to sit outside in the second flight down the back straight, moved in three wide at the seven sixteenths pole, battled outside up top three eighths from home, could not continue on with the pacesetter by the quarter marker giving way and wilted five wide between runners at the furlong marker.
